Beth Boggs, Victor Avellino and Edward Reilly successfully defended their client, Young Appliance in a lawsuit filed over a motor vehicle accident.  The plaintiff was a passenger in a single vehicle crash. Plaintiff alleged that the driver was engaged in the business of the defendant at the time of the collision and that Young Appliance was vicariously liable for the driver’s actions.  Plaintiff sustained serious facial injuries, requiring extensive reconstructive surgery.  Plaintiff submitted in excess of $140,000 in past medical and sought future medical, as well as pain and suffering, loss of a normal life and disfigurement.

 

The jury deliberated for 15 minutes before returning a verdict in favor of the defendant.  The Honorable Richard Brown presided.
