The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (the “JOBS Act’) was signed into law by President Obama on April 5, 2012.  The JOBS Act has key, substantial provisions that govern exempt and registered offerings, initial public offerings (“IPOs”) and issuer reporting requirements.  The main purpose of the legislation is to enhance the capital raising of small and medium sized businesses and thereby to enable and assist startups and venture capital companies in raising funds from stakeholders, which in turn will create and increase jobs.  [ Read more…]
