Ramón Worthington, P.L.L.C. has offices in McAllen, South Padre Island and in Austin, Texas. Our legal team is made up of Sofia Ramón, Dan Worthington, Liz Cantu, Sarah Nicolas, Steve Bosky, Natalie Tarnosky, Shellie Smith and Christiana Dijkman.
Our lawyers have successfully represented clients in dozens of trials and arbitration proceedings throughout the state. Our lawyers frequently speak at State and National conferences and education programs. In addition, Sofia is the current Area Vice President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC). Dan is a former President of TADC, is currently a National Director of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and is on the Lawyers’ Committee of the National Center for State Courts.

Sofia Ramòn has been practicing law for 26 years and has represented defendants in lawsuits involving personal and catastrophic injury or death, transportation law, products liability, toxic torts, commercial and class action cases and first party/bad faith insurance litigation. She has been Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rated since 2001 and currently serves as the Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC) Area Vice President for Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley. She holds a 10.0 Superb AVVO rating and has been selected as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and as published by Texas Monthly, every year since 2006.
Dan Worthington’s career has spanned 26 years, during which he has successfully tried numerous lawsuits and arbitrations on behalf of corporate and individual clients in various types of cases. He has been a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rated attorney since 2001 and was selected as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and as published by Texas Monthly, every year since 2005, and was named one of the “Top 50 Center and West Texas Region Attorneys” in 2007.
Liz Cantu has been practicing law since 1999 and has handled the litigation of civil suits, including cases involving personal and catastrophic injury, commercial litigation and insurance defense. She was selected as a Rising Star by Thomson Reuters and as published by Texas Monthly, is the Secretary for the Hidalgo County Bar Association and Hidalgo County Bar Foundation and is the President-elect of the Women’s Bar Section.
Sarah Nicolas is a litigator who has been practicing since 1999. She has represented both corporate and individual clients in various types of cases, including complex commercial litigation of varying types, products liability, construction defect, professional liability (legal malpractice), serious injury and death, breach of fiduciary duty, and many others. Sarah was selected as a Rising Star Thomson Reuters and as published by Texas Monthly, from 2007 to 2014.
