What sets Nemeth Law apart from other law firms?

Nemeth Law is the largest woman owned law firm in Michigan representing employers in management, labor and employment law and the only female-owned law firm in the City of Detroit concentrating solely on management side employment law. Under the direction of founder and president Patricia Nemeth, and now Managing Partner Deborah Brouwer (both of whom have been recognized with honors including Leading Lawyers, Best Lawyers® and SuperLawyer®), the firm has flourished since its founding in 1992. Notably, firm growth has been organic and not the result of a law firm merger or acquisition.

Nemeth Law is known for its integrity and leadership in the legal community. As a testament to its reputation, members of the legal profession often turn to Nemeth Law when an employment issue arises within the ranks of law firms or courts. Success is attributed the firm’s guiding vision of how labor and employment law should be practiced and to the talents and tenacity of the legal team and dedicated support staff. Clients appreciate the firm’s desire to serve as a model law firm employer with a collegial atmosphere and new business opportunities arise from client referrals as well as recommendations from business owners, executives, and community and government leaders who know Nemeth Law’s deep passion and understanding for management side labor and employment law in today’s dynamic and evolving work environment.

As a result of its focused efforts, the firm has highly satisfied, long-term clients, including those who were referred to Nemeth Law for insurance matters and then retained to provide additional services after the initial insurance matter has been resolved.

Firm Bio

Nemeth Law, P.C., the largest woman-owned law firm in Michigan to exclusively represent management in the prevention, resolution and litigation of labor and employment disputes, was founded by Patricia Nemeth in 1992. Through its diverse client base,  Nemeth Law partners, associates and support staff serve clients in the niche areas of employment litigation, traditional labor law and management consultation.

The firm attributes its growth and success to focusing on one common goal – putting the client first. From high quality legal services and professional communication of information to timely responses to client inquiries, we do everything we can to anticipate client needs and exceed client expectations. Moreover, Nemeth Law boasts an internal synergy among our attorneys and support staff that can be difficult to cultivate in corporate law firms with disparate practices and multiple locations. One of the reasons for our success over the past 25+ years is that we avoid the potential for internal conflicts and competition by adopting a “firm client” approach rather than an individual “attorney client”. This collaborative effort leads to optimal client service and sustains a hardworking team that is persistent and responsive in meeting the needs of all of our clients.

Nemeth Law’s growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand beyond our Detroit base to serve clients regionally, nationally and internationally. The firm is privileged to maintain an impressive client roster and its partners and staff are not only as trusted legal advisors but community and business leaders. Nemeth Law continues to be an independent boutique firm working with employers to prevent, resolve, and litigate employment disputes, regardless of employer size, industry or location.
