Willenken LLP is pleased to announce that Aarti Wilson has been elected to partner, effective September 16, 2019.

Since joining Willenken as an associate in 2014, Aarti has built her practice in trade secrets and employee mobility issues, as well as copyright and trademark disputes. She also regularly defends clients in consumer class actions alleging unfair competition, false advertising, or product liability. Aarti’s recent victories include: obtaining a preliminary injunction, followed by a favorable settlement, of trade secrets misappropriation and breach of a restricted use license claims, and securing the voluntary dismissal with prejudice of Sherman Act and unfair competition claims on behalf of a telecommunications client. Aarti’s clients value her ability to craft legal strategies and creative solutions that advance their business needs.
Aarti earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. from Harvard College, summa cum laude. She began her litigation career at Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles. Aarti has maintained an active pro bono practice throughout her career, often representing individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
In addition to her practice, Aarti is dedicated to promoting diversity in the legal profession. She is actively involved in the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP) and has spoken on a CMCP panel about developing diverse leaders in law firms. Aarti was also selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2019 Class of Fellows and is a member of the California Lawyers Association, Litigation Section Committee on the Administration of Justice.
