Ms. Alam focuses her practice on management defense in employment law litigation. “As a former Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Punam brings a unique background of handling complex employment litigation matters and defending cases filed against state departments and agencies including state colleges, correctional institutions, the Department of Human Services and New Jersey Transit,” said Partner, Kerrie Heslin. Prior to joining NFC, Ms. Alam was at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP. Ms. Alam also has experience handling claims related to violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). Ms. Alam received her J.D. from Seton Hall University of Law and her undergraduate degree from CUNY Hunter College.
