In-House Counsel

NAMWOLF believes the most effective way to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal profession is for companies to increase their retention of minority and women owned law firms, and NAMWOLF helps both law firms and corporations achieve that goal and build prosperous and long-lasting relationships.

In-house counsel represent the companies and public entities committed to diversity and inclusion, and NAMWOLF provides them with unique access to an exclusive group of carefully vetted minority and women owned law firms. In turn, NAMWOLF’s law firms provide their clients with superior work product, long-lasting relationships, and valuable strategic alliances.

How We Vet Our Law Firms

NAMWOLF uses a detailed vetting process to determine law firm admission. NAMWOLF staff performs independent research on each prospective firm, focusing on a firm’s MBW, WBE and/or LGBT status; reputation; references; any disciplinary action; awards/recognition; and practice area expertise. After the firm’s application is complete and verified, the Law Firm Admissions Committee (which is comprised of in-house counsel and law firm members), reviews the collected materials and makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors, which makes the final decision.
