On January 29, 2015, NAMWOLF member firm Benton Potter & Murdock, P.C. attorneys, Kathy C. Potter and Sharon A. Roach, presented a webinar in conjunction with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to more than 180 MBDA clients and partners titled “Subcontracting in Government Marketplaces.”  The webinar was part of an ongoing series of web-based seminars sponsored by MBDA that allow for business owners to explore opportunities, access current information on business trends, and connect with industry experts and peers.  On September 23, 2014, NAMWOLF and MBDA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at  increasing economic opportunities presented to minority-owned law firms, while also assisting minority business enterprises in accessing quality legal services. The MOU provides a great opportunity for NAMWOLF firms to showcase their expertise while supporting the development of minority businesses.  To learn more about the MBDA, take a moment to introduce yourself to Candace Shiver, Special Advisor to the National Director of the MBDA, who will be attending the NAMWOLF Business Meeting in San Antonio February 8 – 10, and visit the MBDA website at www.mbda.gov.
